And because I'm still trying to figure out how to format posts...
Hell, I don't know how to put things where I want them. I wanted the yarn by itself and then the in progress pic and then the finished pic, but they didn't come out in that order, and I don't feel like trying again. Anyway, as for the Lucy Bag, I really enjoyed making this one! Here's the yarn, the bag partially done, and then completed and felted. I love how it came out sort of a heathered purple! I used Cascade 220 Quattro.
I'm working on another one in a sort of purply blue--I don't know why I seem to be stuck in purple mode. I didn't realize when I picked it up that it was so purple! Anyway, it's Plymouth Galway, one of the recommended yarns in the pattern for the Lucy Bag. I'm excited to see how it turns out. The finished bag in the pictures is not all that big, but it'll hold the essentials. The one I'm currently working on is supposed to be quite a bit bigger. We'll see how it turns out. When I get a chance I'll take pics of the shawl. I forgot to do it this time.
I'm entering this first bag in the county fair open class domestic arts whatever-you-call-it. They didn't have a category for accessories so it's entered under Other in the knitting category. It felted so nicely that you can't even tell it's knitted! I'm just really impressed with felting! It was a lot of fun!
